Our Full day Premium Yarra Valley Cellar Door Tours are the perfect introduction to
the stunning Upper Yarra Valley wine region. The Yarra Valley is one of Victoria’s
premium cool climate wine regions. The vineyards and winery incorporates an acclaimed
restaurant, cellar door and shop. First we will be travelling to the idyllic Dandenong
Ranges with scenic winding roads to quaint hilltop village of Olinda, its located 500 m
the highest in the Dandenong Ranges.
We will be visiting the first Sir Paz Estate, John Zapris established Sir Paz
Estate in the Yarra valley in 1997, Sir Paz Estate, inspired by a storied history
and characterised by rice Mediterranean ambience, has the good fortune of
being the Yarra Valley highest altitude Vineyard. The captivating views of
sweeping across the Yarra Valley. More than just a tasting room, the Sir Paz
Estate Cellar Door is a unique wine experience that is sure to fire senses. As an
exclusive cellar door offering, we provide a selection of back vintage wines for
tasting. Wines are hand-crafted at Sir Paz Estate. Vines are hand-pruned and
fruit is hand-picked. Gentle extraction techniques are employed in the wine
Next as we visiting will be Elmswood Estate as you drive through the sweeping
vineyards and rolling hills of the Yarra Valley. Then you find yourself driving
towards a cellar door or vineyard that you have never visited, but instinct tells
you it was well worth the diversion from your usual wine tour route. It is here
you discover for yourself the hidden secrets and pure delight of the smaller
wineries of the Yarra valley region. The coupled with the higher elevation near
the Dandenong ranges produces unique fruity flavours with the subtle
characteristics of cool climate wines.
Next we will be visiting Killara Estate vineyard for Lunch, Killara Estate is a remarkable
place to enjoy food and wines one of the most picturesque sites in the Upper Yarra
Valley. A truly unique family owned upper Yarra Valley winery and cellar door only to
look at the generations of farmers in LEO Italian heritage. The cellar door , which was
opened 2006, was a natural progression for the palazzos, When you go to the extensive
outdoor decking overseeing magnificent views of thee mountain ranges, sloping hills and
sweeping vines across our Yarra Valley vineyard.
There is an option as a group to travel for Lunch at Warburton Town, Seville Estate
and Ripe Cafe at Sassafres at Mt Dandenong ranges.
As we will be visiting Warburton Town truly is the jewel of the Yarra Valley. After
lunch we can walk around the town for side seeing with uniquely positioned between
picturesque mountains and old growth mountain ash forests and on the banks of the
glistering Yarra river hub for nature lovers, artists and musicians, Warburton Township
has a great selection of many Cafes and restaurants for lunch and dinner. Browse the homewards and giftware shops.
Next stop we will be visiting the Seville Estate Winery. When Dr Peter
Mcmahon planted the first vines at Seville Estate in 1972, it’s marked the
rebirth of the Yarra Valley as a premium wine region.Year 2020 Best Large
Cellar Door Awards winery received. Seville Estate takes home Winery of the
Year at the 2019 Holliday Wine companion Awards. Seville Estate has
cemented its position as one of Australia’s premium Wineries, This region more
renowned for its red wines produced from cabernet and pinot Noir
Next we will be visiting Whispering Hills Vineyard, It was established in 1985 up
on the red, rich soils of the upper Yarra Valley. Whispering Hills Vineyard has
been producing elegant cool, climate wines for twenty vintages. These wines
reflect the vineyard site where they are grown and convey the wines a sense of
place. Whispering Hills Vineyards is the ideal spot to spend a relaxing
afternoon. At cellar door you can indulge in tasting we produce true wood-fired
breads and traditional pizza cooked.
Final stop of the tour will be Morgan Vineyards, Established in 1971, Morgan’s is one of
the oldest vineyards in the Yarra Valley and to a distillery open 2019. All of our grapes
are handpicked from our lovely old vines. Foot stomped, basket pressed, hand bottled
and hand Labelled to produce wines with depth, character and a soul that reflected of
producing some of the best wines in Yarra Valley. You can spend the late evening sitting
and tasting in picturesque views over the Warburton Valley in our very relaxed
atmosphere sampling our handcrafted wines matched with local cheese platter.
